Purdue just gave Matt Painter a $1 million raise to his yearly salary, which ranks him just ahead of Tom Crean nationally (11th and 12th) and in the B1G (3rd and 4th).  In the B1G, Tom Izzo ($3,633,657) and Thad Matta ($3,598,700) are the higher paid coaches than Painter ($2,325,000), and Crean ($2,240,000).  The full article can be found here:  IndyStar Article

Yogi Ferrell #11 in White- 2nd Round Sectionals in HD- 3/2/12

Went to Broad Ripple last night to catch Yogi Ferrell and Park Tudor take on Heritage Christian.  I'll just say this in regards to Yogi:  He is going to be an immediate game changer for the Hoosiers next season.  Heritage Christian tried their best to slow down the game and even held the ball at half court for almost 5 minutes to end the first half.  Park Tudor, led by Yogi, won the game 47-37.

The second match-up at Broad Ripple was IU commit Ron Patterson and Broad Ripple vs. Herron.  This game was over from the beginning, and I left before halftime when the score was 40-16 Broad Ripple.  Herron had absolutely no answer for the athleticism and size of Broad Ripple.  Broad Ripple won 83-28.

Park Tudor and Broad Ripple square off @ Broad Ripple for the Sectional Championship at 7:30 tonight.  Should be a good one.

Here are the sectional brackets for each class updated after Friday's games:
